Thank You Spondon!!

A huge thanks to everyone from Spondon and beyond who turned out in force for the fantastic 2011 Spondon Village Festival over the weekend of 10th/11th September - it was an amazing weekend and just brilliant to see so many people coming out to support the event once again.

Spondon has a tradition of bringing people together through big village events such as the traditional Spondon Carnival of old and it's this community spirit that the Spondon Village Festival has seen in bucketfuls once again this year.

Spondon Village Festival is organised by a team of local Spondon residents - Angie Doughty, Alan England, Emma Donald and Lauren Cook - with support from local groups, clubs and businesses. On behalf of everyone who enjoyed the event this year, a HUGE thanks to all the team.

And so planning starts for next year's event! Can we make it even bigger and better than 2011? We hope so. The Festival is a not-for-profit event for all the community to enjoy and your help and support will once again be essential. It's never too early to get involved for next year. If you'd like to join the team of organisers, are interested in supporting the event financially or just want to get involved in some other way, please contact us any time.
