8th/9th Sept 2012, Asterdale Sports Ground

Thank you Spondon for another fantastic weekend!

The 2012 Spondon Village Festival was another roaring success with thousands of people getting involved with all the fun over the weekend of 8th/9th September at Asterdale Sports Ground, Borrowash Road, Spondon.

Thank you to everyone who was involved once again this year, either as an entertainer, stall holder, sponsor or visitor - you made the weekend another huge success and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Saturday's 'SpondonFest' kicked off at 1pm with live music, dance and entertainment right the way through the day until late into the evening. The main stage was under cover in our huge Festival marquee while the fireworks display rounded things off fantastic in the evening.

Sunday's Carnival Fever day kicked off with a brilliant walking parade from Craddock Avenue through to the Festival grounds involving hundreds of local groups and residents. Thousands then came through the gates to enjoy all the fun and entertainment of the Festival's Carnival Day.

The Festival is a not-for-profit event for all the community to enjoy and your help and support will once again be essential. If you'd like to join the team of organisers, are interested in supporting the event financially or just want to get involved in some other way, please contact us any time.
